Maternal Mental Health Advocacy

“Every perinatal mood disorder, no matter how strong the symptoms are, is temporary and treatable”

Postpartum Support International

After more than a decade telling other people’s stories, Danielle and her husband felt compelled to tell their own story, opening up about their family’s journey with postpartum depression and anxiety after the birth of their second daughter in 2019.

One in 7 women and 1 in 10 dads will suffer postpartum depression.

Danielle is a passionate advocate for maternal mental health and her mission to raise awareness, support and most importantly, hope, for families has taken her to the Arizona State Capitol, into womens’ homes and hospitals, and online.

The work to help families across the US access both preventative resources and affordable treatment is far from over, and Danielle welcomes the opportunities to share her experience on a variety of platforms, to help reduce the stigma associated with perinatal mood disorders.

Below are some examples of Danielle’s work.
